Your privacy, plainly stated.

Effective November 4, 2026. What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

This policy explains how California Electrical Solutions ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through calelectricalsolutions.com (the "site"). It covers this website only. Information you give us in person, by phone, or while we work for you is handled as part of our normal business records.

The short version: this site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising trackers or third-party scripts. We collect what you choose to send us, use it to respond to you and do the work you ask for, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you send an estimate request through our contact form, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the type of project, and your message. When you apply for a job, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the position, your message, and any résumé you attach. A résumé may include your work history, education and anything else you choose to put in it. If you email or call us using a link on the site, we receive whatever you send or tell us.

Information collected automatically. Like any website, when your browser requests a page, our hosting provider receives technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the page you came from, and the date and time. It is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems. The hosting provider keeps it for a limited period under its own policy, and we do not use it to identify you or to build a profile of your browsing.

What we don't collect through the site: payment card or bank details, government ID numbers, precise location, or information about you from data brokers or other outside sources.

Please don't send sensitive information through the form, such as Social Security, bank or card numbers.

2. How we use it

  • To respond to your request, prepare an estimate, and follow up with you about it.
  • To do the work you hire us for, and to keep the business records that go with it.
  • To consider your job application and contact you about it.
  • To keep the site secure and working, and to stop spam and abuse of our forms.
  • To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't add you to a mailing list without asking.

3. How we share it

We share personal information only in these cases:

  • Service providers who run the site and our office systems: website hosting and form delivery and our email provider (Microsoft 365). They may use it only to provide those services to us.
  • When the law requires it, for example a subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our staff or the public.
  • If the business changes hands, customer records may pass to the new owner, who must handle them in line with this policy.
  • With your permission, for anything else.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. It uses no analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or session recording. Its fonts and code are served from this site itself, so loading a page does not send your information to font, analytics or advertising companies.

5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don't track visitors over time or across other websites, and we don't let third parties do so through this site. A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal therefore has nothing to switch off, and the site works the same either way. If that ever changes, we will honor those signals and update this policy.

6. Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and form submissions travel over encrypted connections to our office inbox. Access to them is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable care to protect what you send us.

7. How long we keep it

We keep requests and the correspondence that follows for as long as we need them to respond to you, do the work, and keep the business, tax and warranty records the law or good practice requires. After that we delete them. Job applications: we keep applications and the documents sent with them for two years after we receive them, then delete them. Hosting logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short period under its own policy.

The site links to other services, such as map directions and our social media pages. When you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.

9. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, and who we've shared it with;
  • correct information that's wrong;
  • delete it, except what we have to keep by law or to finish work you've asked us to do;
  • stop contacting you.

To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We'll confirm it's you by matching details you've already given us, and we'll respond within 45 days, or tell you why we need longer. Someone you authorize in writing can make a request for you. Exercising these rights will never change the service or prices we offer you.

10. California residents

This policy is written to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives California residents specific rights over information held by businesses it covers. Whether or not the CCPA applies to a business of our size, we honor those rights for every California resident.

  • What we collected in the past 12 months: identifiers and contact details (name, phone, email, and IP address in hosting logs); the details of your request; professional or employment information, from job applicants only; and limited technical information (section 1). We don't collect sensitive personal information except anything you choose to include in a message, which we use only to respond to you.
  • Sources: you, and your browser's requests to our hosting provider.
  • Purposes: those in section 2.
  • Disclosed to service providers for a business purpose in the past 12 months: identifiers and contact details, and the details of your request, and applicants' professional or employment information, to the providers named in section 3 (hosting and form delivery, email).
  • Sale and sharing: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and have not done so in the past 12 months. That includes personal information of anyone under 16.
  • Your rights: to know, correct and delete (section 9), and to be free from discrimination for exercising them. Because we don't sell or share personal information, or use sensitive personal information for anything other than responding to you, there is nothing to opt out of or limit.
  • Shine the Light (Civil Code § 1798.83): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

11. Children

The site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles personal information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here for a reasonable time after they take effect.
